It’s Friday right?

I need the weekend really, reall bad. It’s been an extremely long week at work and the last couple of days have . . . well I’d just like to forget the last couple of days. But it’s finally Friday, right? (Please tell me it is even if it isn’t. Please?)

There has been one really bright spot in my week. I did a swap with my wonderful knitty friend Jacquie and her parcel arrived Wednesday (though I had to go pick it up at the post office Thursday morning before work because I just couldn’t wait). I sent her more Plymouth Galway yarn to felt and she sent me this gorgeous Debbie Bliss Soho. The colors on the bue one didn’t come out very well but this is destined to become cuffs on a pair of mittens. I’m not sure what I will make with the other three skeins but they are lovely to look at!

She also sent me some stitch markers that she made. And for the record Jacquie, I won’t be trading these, sending them as a RAK or sending them to my SP. They are mine! All mine! And I LOVE them! I wouldn’t dream of trading them away. They have a happy home with my other homemade stitch markers and are fitting in well with the rest of the group. Thank you again Jacquie for swapping with me!

I’ve been doing some knitting on my bolero the last few nights. Mostly as stress relief and a little because I want to finish the bolero. It’s coming along. I’m going to visit my brother this weekend so it will make the trip with me and hopefully I’ll have a little time to work on it. I’m debating on whether or not to take it on my camping trip next weekend. It is rather small so it won’t take up too much room. If it’s really close to being done I may take it. We are planning one day of just relaxing at the campsite so that would be a good project to work on then. Well I just keep rambling on and you all probably want to see a picture of my progress. So without further adieu, here it is.
