The music of the night . . .
Well last night was the night we went to see Phantom of the Opera. Wow! It was all I had hoped for and more. Hubby was bored, but then he doesn’t really like plays/musicals. But I really appreciated the fact that he suffered through it for me. Big smooch to you sweetie! And speaking of the ol’ SO, he now has his own blog which can be found here. He’s just getting started but pop on over and say hi.
News . . . let’s see . . . we’ve gone 39.9 miles on our bikes since we started riding. (No that’s not all at once . . . that would kill me for sure.) My cat/cats (I have no idea if it’s one or both) are on a puking spree. I finished my first pair of toe-up socks and have started the second pair. I’ve actually not been knitting too much for myself lately. My fav LYS asked me to do some swatches for them in exchange for yarn! How could I refuse?? But I’ve had some pain in my right hand so I haven’t been doing all that much knitting period.
Our big news is that we just purchased our first pop-up camper! We were going to purchase one from someone my hubby works with, but mice had gotten in and chewed big holes in the canvas. We ended up with a 2004 Flagstaff 227. It’s awesome and I can’t wait for our first trip coming up the weekend of May 20. We pick the camper up next Monday so I’ll post some pictures after we get it home. I’m so excited!
That’s about all for now. I need to take some pics of finished socks and my last SP package. Maybe tonight . . .
s see, I finished the mate to my ankle socks and that’s about it. I started my toe-up sock class this past Tuesday. The figure 8 cast-on tried to kick my butt, but (heehee!) I finally conquered it and here is the result of my perserverance. I used Schaffer yarn’s Lola on size 5 circs. The color is accurate here and you can see my perrenials coming up in the background. Hooray for spring! I’ll be casting on for the second sock tonight so I can work on it during the hockey game tonight. (Go Wings!)
I love this yarn so much (it’s 100% merino wool - superwash!) that I just had to add another hank to my growing stash. Since it’s a DK weight these socks knit up super fast. Gotta love that instant gratification! I also went out and bought a 3-drawer plastic bin on wheels to hel
p store my growing yarn collection. (I think the yarn multiplies on it’s own but my wallet says otherwise.)
